Jamie O'Hara was scathing in his assessment of Tottenham after Sunday's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal.

The Gunners continued their north London derby dominance with defender Gabriel Magalhaes heading home the only goal of the game in the second half.

Spurs had plenty of possession but rarely threatened their rivals going forward.

Ange Postecoglou's side now sit 13th with just four points from their opening four matches of the season.

And former Spurs midfielder O'Hara believes the players he played with during his time at the club were far superior to the current crop.

He posted on X: 'give me Aaron Lennon, (Tom) Huddlestone, (Robbie) Keane, (Jermain) Defoe and (Rafael) van der Vaart over any of these any day of the week.

'We sign players from Bournemouth, Burnley, Leeds and (Nottingham) Forest then expect championship results #spurs heads gone.'

However, fans were quick to point out that this statement was flawed.

One replied: 'you signed Defoe from West Ham whilst they were in the Championship, Lennon from Leeds whilst they were in the Championship and Huddlestone from Derby whilst they were in the Championship.'

The response gathered nearly four times the amount of likes that O'Hara's post did.

New signing Dominic Solanke failed to make much of an impact on the day with Arsenal's defence rock solid once again.

The striker joined Spurs from Bournemouth in a £65m deal in the summer.
