THIERRY HENRY IS SLAMMED FOR 'IGNORING' CHRISTIAN PULISIC AFTER REFUSING TO QUESTION THE AC MILAN STAR AFTER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DEFEAT

Thierry Henry is facing criticism from football fans after appearing to blank former Chelsea star Christian Pulisic during a post-match interview on Tuesday evening.

Pulisic faced the cameras after AC Milan's 3-1 humbling by Liverpool in their opening Champions League clash and was being interviewed by Kate Abdo on CBS when the bizarre exchange occurred.

The United States international scored the opening goal at the San Siro before Arne Slot's side replied with three goals to earn an emphatic victory in one of European football's most iconic stadiums.

Arsenal and France legend Henry is a regular pundit on the broadcaster's coverage and often cuts a charismatic figure when engaging with players, but didn't appear in the mood when Pulisic was present.

Abdo was hosting the interview, questioning Pulisic over Milan's performance when she turned to Henry asking if he wanted to pose a follow-up query to the forward.

However, Henry didn't appear interested and quickly responded 'no' while refusing to look at the 26-year-old, instead looking down at the table he was sitting at alongside Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

There was a brief awkward silence with Richards letting out a nervous laugh before Abdo professionally continued to ask Pulisic how he would be unwinding after the defeat.

Meanwhile, the ex-Chelsea forward looked momentarily confused before regaining composure and continuing to reveal he would be heading home to relax.

Fans that spotted the bizarre exchange have been left less than impressed with the Frenchman's odd behaviour and questioned why he refused to speak with Pulisic when presented with the chance to do so.

'Henry needs to behave like a mature man and let go of his ego,' said one comment on X reacting to the coverage.

Another viewer similarly added: 'There is a real beef there. Thierry Henry has been trying to get the USA job for years but he isn’t qualified.'

A third critic also fumed at the former Premier League champion adding: 'Pulisic mood completely changed after that as well poor punditry from Henry.'
