WILL TOM TRBOJEVIC PLAY STATE OF ORIGIN? DIAGNOSIS, INJURY UPDATES AFTER MANLY SEA EAGLES FULLBACK SUFFERS HAMSTRING STRAIN

Tom Trbojevic's torrid run with injuries has continued, with the Manly Sea Eagles confirming their star fullback has suffered a hamstring strain.

He will miss roughly seven weeks of action.

Trbojevic limped from the field late in Thursday night's match against the Dolphins after slamming into a cameraman as he attempted a try-saving tackle on Jack Bostock.

While it is unlikely the collision itself caused the injury, the extra contact certainly would not have done any favours.

The 27-year-old headed to the sheds in discomfort, struggling to walk with a normal gait.

It marks the sixth time Trbojevic has had a hamstring problem in the past six seasons.

"That's footy mate, poor Tom, he can't catch a break ... He's so resilient, he'll be back," Tom's brother Jake Trbojevic told ABC Sport post-match.

The Sea Eagles were narrowly defeated by the Dolphins on the night, falling 30-24.

Will Tom Trbojevic play State of Origin?

Trbojevic's Grade 2 hamstring strain will see him miss just under two months.

This means will not feature in Game 1 on June 5, and is unlikely to be selected for Game 2 on June 26.
