WORLD CHAMPION HUMPHRIES, TEEN SUPERSTAR LITTLER CONFIRMED FOR NZ DARTS MASTERS

World champion Luke Humphries and teenage sensation Luke Littler will both travel to Hamilton for the NZ Darts Masters in August.

Both will make their debuts in New Zealand, with Humphries riding an incredible 12 months that saw him captured the World Grand Prix, Grand Slam of Darts and Players Championship Finals, before winning the world title at London's Alexandra Palace in January.

In the world championship final, he faced Littler, then 16, who has since won the Bahrain Masters - throwing a televised nine-darter in the process - and losing the Dutch Masters final, both against Dutch legend Michael van Gerwen.

Defending champion Rob Cross and former champions Gerwyn Price will also return among the eight Professional Darts Corporation players named in the 16-man field. Kiwi Haupai Puha and Aussie favourite Simon Whitlock are among the eight Oceanic representatives.

The field so far is:

Rob Cross (England), Damon Heta (Australia), Luke Humphries (England), Luke Littler (England), Gerwyn Price (Wales), Haupai Puha (NZ), Michael Smith (England), Dimitri van den Bergh (Belgium), Simon Whitlock (Australia), Peter Wright (Scotland)
