WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham posted a video announcing the signing of both Burton and Revan, just a few weeks before the League One campaign gets underway. The former joined from Plymouth, where he built a reputation as a solid goalkeeper, while the latter arrives from Aston Villa's academy.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID

Head coach Phil Parkinson was delighted to bring two new faces on board. On Burton, he said: "Callum’s profile is perfect for what we need to complement our goalkeeping department. We’re all really looking forward to working with him over the next two years."

On Revan, he added: "Seb is a player that stood out for us from his performances in the Championship and he is only going to improve with us. He offers us great versatility because he can play both on the right and the left. He’s a good young player and we’re delighted to have him on board."

THE BIGGER PICTURE

It is vitally important for Wrexham to continue strengthening as they face up to the challenge of League One. Reynolds and Co face another step up from the heights of League Two and such is the ambition of the club, the Red Dragons will be looking to make it back-to-back-to-back promotions.

Now that the promotion parties and finished and pre-season is underway, those who follow Wrexham from across the globe will be waiting in anticipation for the new campaign to start. Parkinson's men will play in their final tour match against Fleetwood on 3 August but first have matches against Bournemouth, Chelsea and Vancouver Whitecaps.
