MICAH PARSONS HITS BACK AT DALLAS COWBOYS TEAMMATE OVER HIS PODCASTING HOBBY

Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons has embroiled himself in a battle of words with a teammate by hitting back at a claim on his 'misplaced' priorities ahead of the 2025 NFL season.

The 25-year-old linebacker didn't hold back on Cowboys safety Malik Hooker, who for his part accused Parsons of caring more about his podcasting hobby than the team's on-field issues on the 'All Facts no Brakes' podcast, which is hosted by former pro Bowler Keyshawn Johnson.

'My advice would be for Micah, it would be: Just make sure we're all right, and being where your feet are,' Hooker said on June 27. 'Because if we're out working, and the run game's terrible but you're doing a podcast every week - and you know the run game is terrible - then what are you really caring about?

'Are you caring about the crowd that's watching your podcast, or are you caring about the success of the team, and the Super Bowl that we're trying to reach?'

Parsons, who started his own podcast 'The Edge with Micah Parsons' in 2023 and was named the president of Bleacher Report's Gridiron division, which focuses on all football related creative content, didn't shy away from the criticism.

Instead, he laid into his teammate for sharing his views in public and not in private.

'Just wish you said this to me but instead on some podcast,' Parsons wrote in a since-deleted post on X, as reported by the Dallas Morning News. 'And you got my number family! And you my locker mate!

'So you could said this any day! And you do realize I shoot the podcast on our off day! Why ain't we talking about everyone preparations and focus.'

Hooker then provided his own reply, attempting to bury the hatchet with Parsons by calling him his 'Little Bro' and saying 'His Podcast Isn't Hurting Nothing.'

'Don't Fall For Bait He Knows What I Meant and Knows Me,' Hooker added about his teammate.

The online spat between the Cowboys duo comes after Parsons skipped most of the voluntary offseason program with Dallas.

The star pass rusher says he hasn't even found time for a one-on-one meeting with new defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer after the predecessor who nurtured Parsons in his first three seasons, Dan Quinn, left to become the coach in Washington.

None of the above is an issue for the 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and two-time All-Pro. Parsons figures he'll be lining up, ready to sack Deshaun Watson, in the Sept. 8 opener at Cleveland.

'I don't think a locker room is the only way I can build chemistry with my teammates,' Parsons said during the team's mandatory minicamp this week. 'Just because I'm actively not here at the designated time doesn't mean I don't come in.'

Parsons spent time with Houston Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud in China as part of goodwill tour for the NFL. He matched wits with sumo wrestlers overseas ahead of the Cowboys' training camp in California later this month from July 23 to August 22.
